A Place That Could Only Happen Once

Resting serenely under the warm Florida sun in Ft. Myers, is Fiddlesticks Country Club, “a place that could happen only once.” Since its beginning in 1982, Fiddlesticks has been blessed with one of Florida’s finest and most recognized golf courses, “The Long Mean.” Designed by renowned course architect Ron Garl, The Long Mean has stood the test of time and has players longing to return and challenge its 7077 yards.
Ron Garl also recently redesigned the “Wee Friendly,” the second course at Fiddlesticks, and it too is a challenging golf venue. These two courses, coupled with magnificent practice areas, make Fiddlesticks the premier golf club in Ft. Myers.
There are many communities in Florida that offer golf, but Fiddlesticks is a golf community, with members deeply dedicated to the game of golf and the camaraderie it fosters. Paramount to the success of any golf community is the availability of playing opportunities; with less than 600 members, two 18-hole courses and Master PGA Professional Jim Kurtzeborn overseeing golf operations, Fiddlesticks ensures its members the opportunity to play whenever they want.
Other family activities have not been neglected at Fiddlesticks Country Club. The club offers eight Har Tru tennis courts and a competitive tennis program spearheaded by Tennis Professional Jeff Diggs and his assistant pro. These two talented USTA-registered individuals are capable of teaching the beginner or keeping the game of a skilled player in shape.
Fitness has not been overlooked either, as the club just opened its new state-of-the-art Fitness Center. Doug Degen, Fitness Director, and his staff are on hand for personal training, a variety of classes including water aerobics, and golf and tennis-specific workouts. Afterwards, book a massage with a licensed masseuse in the Fitness Center's massage rooms.
Many communities have been built since the first member teed it up at Fiddlesticks, but few have enjoyed the reputation of Fiddlesticks Country Club. If you are traveling in the Fort Myers area and wish to personally view the grounds, please call Lisa Rizzio, Director of Marketing, at (239) 210-2775, or have your club professional contact Master PGA Professional Jim Kurtzeborn at (239) 768-1114.
